The Beacon is a nonprofit student newspaper published monthly during the school year by the Journalism II: Newspaper class of High Point High School.

The Beacon aspires to report the news in an objective manner so that it will be of interest to the students, faculty, staff, and community, and increase the awareness of readers as to events that concern the High Point community.

The Beacon accepts paid advertisements that are suitable for a student publication. Paid advertisements do not imply endorsement by the Board of Education or of High Point High School.
